Västflyg to launche a new direct route from Arlanda to Trollhättan starting October 2nd
Focusing on increasing the connectivity to and from western Sweden, local air carrier Västflyg is to expand its offer of routes by launching a new direct route to Stockholm, this time to Arlanda Airport. Starting on 2 October 2024, Västflyg will operate the route between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Trollhättan Vänersborg Airport twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays.
From 1 September: EU decision affects liquid rules at the security checkpoint Terminal 5
Due to temporarily changed EU rules, from 1 September 2024, only liquid containers of up to 100 ml are allowed in hand luggage at all European airports. Among Swedavia's airports, this will lead to a change in the security checkpoint in Terminal 5 at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
ANA to start Tokyo flights from Stockholm Arlanda on January 31, 2025
Japan’s largest airline, ANA, will establish at Stockholm Arlanda Airport with a direct route to the country’s major hub, Tokyo Haneda. Starting on January 31 st , ANA will operate the route three times a week, thus becoming an important player in connecting the Swedish capital with one of the most important markets in Asia.
Norwegian to launch a new, direct route to Skellefteå Airport
Norwegian continues to expand at Stockholm Arlanda Airport by launching a new direct route to Skellefteå Airport, starting on 28 October. Skellefteå is a part of the rapidly developing business climate focused on sustainability that is emerging in the northern parts of Sweden, a development which increase the demand for extended connectivity to the region.
