Our customers and employees

Positive customer experience

Satisfied passengers constitute the basis of all our business. Our target is to increase passenger satisfaction from 69 (2010) to 85 per cent by 2025. We work on a continuous basis together with airlines and regions across Sweden to develop routes at all of our airports.

Equality treatment, gender equality and an inclusive culture

As a workplace, Swedavia shall be characterised by diversity, inclusion and respect for the individual on every level. Many different skills work together under the scope of our operations so that we will achieve our strategic goals and be able to provide increased passenger satisfaction and better safety and security.

Every leader is responsible for driving focused work for equal treatment and diversity, and it is also important that every employee takes responsibility for contributing to an inclusive and unprejudiced culture. Everyone is entitled to be themselves and be treated with respect.

We shall be a workplace where people are treated equally regardless of their gender or other attributes and work actively for an inclusive and engaging culture where every employee’s specific capabilities and talents are made use of. The work with equal treatment is based on the Swedish Discrimination Act, and we have clear guidelines and policies in this area.

We carry out annual measurements of gender balance and the share of employees with a foreign background. Our aim is to have gender balance in the organisation. Questions about equal treatment are included in the employee survey and pulse measurements and also taken up in the mandatory workplace environment training for leaders.

The company has a number of strategic partnerships. Through these partnerships, we have the opportunity to contribute to positive social change alongside our core mission.

Workplace environment

Occupational health and safety is a natural part of our day-to-day operations. The goal is to have no serious accidents in the workplace and no victimisation or discrimination.

For leader, this involves working visibly and in practical terms for a healthy, safe, secure workplace environment. One requirement is to conduct a number of safety walks and safety talks each year, in which leaders and employees together survey workplace environment risks in operations and follow up on these.

The health, development and well-being of individuals from a physical, mental and social perspective are safeguarded through preventive work with occupational health and safety for both employees and consultants. All leaders complete mandatory training in the work with occupational health and safety, which highlights everyone’s active responsibility in this work. Close collaboration between leaders, employees and occupational health and safety organisations is crucial.

Safety provides assurance

Our airports are characterised by a high level of safety awareness, with aviation safety and aviation security taking top priority. We take part nationally and internationally in the work to develop regulations that can be implemented in operations and ensure or increase the level of safety and security. Systematic work with methods and customer service shall help foster a sense of security at our airports while improving both efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The work is focused on aviation security and aviation safety. Aviation security entails proactive work to prevent criminal acts, while aviation safety is focused on preventing accidents.

Preventive risk and crisis management

Risk management in our operations is aimed at safeguarding the Group’s ability to achieve its business goals and deal with changes both internally and externally. We shall be prepared if a crisis arises. Development and implementation of a Group-wise risk methodology are continuously ongoing in order to have a comprehensive view of how risks are to be managed and prevented.

Trend for accidents and serious incidents

Swedavia has a zero vision for accidents and serious incidents. These terms are defined in an EU regulation and assessed in Sweden by the Swedish Accident Investigation Authority. We report all incidents considered to have an impact on aviation safety to the Swedish Transport Agency. All accidents and serious incidents are reported immediately to the Swedish Accident Investigation Authority.
