Stockholm Arlanda Airport is currently carrying out a major investment to build the future Terminal 2. The terminal is being designed based on passenger needs and will provide twice the amount of seating as before, with many areas designed as work spaces and meeting places with a lounge feel.

Short distances combined with 2,000 new square metres of space will make Terminal 2 atStockholm Arlanda AirportSweden’s most efficient travel solution. Better flows, more space for services and shops, and more play areas for families with children are some of the improvements. At the same time, passengers who have time to spare can enjoy an airport environment suited to both work and relaxation.

- My goal for the renovated Terminal 2 is that it will be a favourite with travellers, where they can get from the train, bus or car to the gate within 15 minutes. With short distances and a renewed offering of services, the terminal will provideSweden’s most efficient travel solution, both for leisure and business travellers, says Kjell-Åke Westin, airport director atStockholmArlandaAirport.

The additional2,000 square metreswill enable the terminal to handle all types of traffic with greater flexibility. This includes the creation of new spaces for traffic outside the Schengen area. Another addition is a new lounge for passengers, a priority lane option at the security checkpoint and better shopping and restaurant experiences. The expansion is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

There will be parking spaces available directly under the terminal, while buses and taxis, as well as the Arlanda Express high-speed train, will be found immediately adjacent to the terminal.
