​​SAS to launch new routes from Stockholm Arlanda Airport

SAS continues to expand at Stockholm Arlanda Airport and is launching five new routes to European destinations for the Summer of 2017. Two of the destinations, Munich and Krakow, will have year-round service. SAS will also start summer traffic to the Portuguese capital, Lisbon; Shannon, on the west coast of Ireland; and Pristina, the capital of Kosovo.

SAS will also start summer traffic to the Portuguese capital, Lisbon; Shannon, on the west coast of Ireland; and the capital of Kosovo, Pristina.

“We are really pleased that SAS continues to invest in Stockholm Arlanda with year-round, seasonal and domestic routes. It really meets the demand in the market from both business and leisure travellers,” says Elizabeth Axtelius, director of Aviation Business at Swedavia.

Along with the five new routes from Stockholm Arlanda, SAS is increasing the number of domestic as well as international departures. There will be more departures from Stockholm Arlanda and Gothenburg Landvetter to Barcelona, Malaga and Palma. At the same time, domestic traffic will expand, with more departures from Stockholm to both Gothenburg Landvetter and Malmö Airport.

SAS’s summer timetable will enter into effect in March 2017.

Year-round service:
Stockholm-Munich: first departure March 26, every day except Friday
Stockholm-Krakow: first departure March 26, departure Thursday and Sunday

Summer service:
Stockholm-Lisbon: June 25–August 6, 2017, departure Thursday and Sunday
Stockholm-Shannon: August 1–October 7, 2017, departure Tuesday and Saturday
Stockholm-Pristina: August 1– August 26, 2017, 8 round-trip departures on selected dates
