Leisure travel to and from Sweden is increasing, both among Swedes who are travelling even more, and among travellers coming in to Sweden. For the Summer of 2017, Norwegian is adding two new destinations to their program by launching two direct services to Milan and Montpellier, the latter is also a brand-new destination at Stockholm Arlanda. Norwegian is also increasing the number of departures to Faro (Portugal), Pisa and Amsterdam during the Summer period. The programs will also be extended for the destinations of Bordeaux and Burgas (Bulgaria).
“We are really pleased that Norwegian continues to invest in Stockholm Arlanda, with new services as well as expanded traffic on existing routes. There is clearly a demand among Swedes for more routes, and in 2016 international traffic at Stockholm Arlanda has grown by seven per cent year to date. We are therefore investing more than ten billion SEK through 2023 to expand the airport,” says Karl Wistrand, CEO at Swedavia.
