More low-cost routes to France from Stockholm Arlanda – Transavia France to expand with new non-stop service to Lyon this winter

With the launch of the routes Stockholm–Montpellier this past summer and Stockholm–Paris Orly this autumn, the Air France group’s low-cost carrier Transavia France will now offer another direct route between Sweden and France. Lyon, known as the capital of gastronomy, is located in southeast France and is close to the French Alps and a large number of ski resorts.

The Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN)–Lyon-Saint Exupéry (LYS) route will be served once a week on Saturdays from January 29 to April 16, 2022. Tickets are now on sale.

The airline has also confirmed that its Stockholm Arlanda–Paris Orly service will continue next summer as well, with three weekly departures, on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

“Transavia France’s announcement of a third route from Stockholm Arlanda within a short time is further indication of increased demand and the air travel market’s continued recovery. Transavia France has operated at Stockholm Arlanda Airport since June 2021. The airline was founded in 2007 and is a low cost carrier in Air France KLM Group. In 2020, it opened a base in Montpellier and already has bases at Paris Orly, Nantes and Lyon. In 2020, Transavia’s fleet consisted of 40 Boeing 737–800s, and the airline offers more than 100 destinations from France, mostly to coastal cities on the Mediterranean Sea and elsewhere in Europe.
