Wizz Air launches new direct route from Arlanda to Bucharest
Wizz Air is launching a new direct route between Stockholm Arlanda and Bucharest. From 30 March 2026, flights will operate three times a week, giving travellers in Sweden more affordable options to visit the Romanian capital.
The new route will operate to Băneasa Aurel Vlaicu Airport in Bucharest and will be served three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Flights will be operated with an Airbus A321 aircraft with a seating capacity of 239 passengers.
For travellers in Sweden, the new service offers more affordable options for both leisure travel and visiting family and friends. Bucharest is a vibrant city with a rich history, a lively cultural scene and good onward connections within Romania and to other parts of Eastern Europe.
Wizz Air continues to strengthen its offering from Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The airline already operates direct flights from Arlanda to destinations including Tirana, Gdańsk, Skopje and Budapest, and the new route further improves accessibility for travellers in Sweden.
The launch is also part of a broader effort to meet the growing demand for international travel to and from Stockholm, while reinforcing Arlanda’s role as an important hub for travel in Europe.
