Norwegian continues to strengthen its presence in the Swedish market. On April 2, 2022, the airline will launch a direct route from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Catania on the island of Sicily. With the new air link, Norwegian will offer 57 direct routes this summer from its re-opened base at Arlanda.

In April, in conjunction with the start of the 2022 summer programme, Norwegian plans to re-open its base at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. In January, the airline offered service to 15 destinations from Stockholm Arlanda, including the domestic destinations Umeå, Luleå and Kiruna. This summer, it will offer a total of 57 routes from Arlanda, a number of which are new for the airport and complement Arlanda’s range of other destinations.

The new addition is Catania, a city on the eastern coast of Sicily. The route will debut on April 2, 2022, with Norwegian providing non-stop service from Stockholm Arlanda Airport. Catania is a dynamic city situated between the active volcano Mount Etna and the beautiful Mediterranean Sea to the east.
