In November, the low cost carrier Norwegian Air Shuttle will fly non-stop to Madeira and Fuerteventura from Stockholm Arlanda Airport.

"There is really strong interest among travellers in Sweden to fly to southern Europe, so it is really good news that we can now offer another two popular destinations non-stop from Stockholm," says Thomas Ramdahl, chief commercial officer at Norwegian, in a press release.

The new routes will be launched on November 4 and operate once a week.

"Both Madeira and Fuerteventura have a great deal to offer, so we look forward to welcoming travellers on board", Mr Ramdahl adds.

In addition to the two new routes, Norwegian is increasing the number of departures on its existing routes to Marrakech and Tel Aviv, which will now be served twice weekly.

The new routes:

  • Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) – Funchal/Madeira (FNC) will be operated on Saturdays starting November 4, 2017.
  • Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) – Fuerteventura (FUE) will be operated on Saturdays starting November 4, 2017.

Increased departures on existing routes:

  • The Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) – Marrakech (RAK) service will be expanded from one to two departures a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting November 1.
  • The Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) – Tel Aviv (TLV) service will be expanded from one to two departures a week, on Tuesdays and Sundays, starting October 31 this year.
