Lakritsroten opens at Arlanda
There will be liquorice for all tastes at Stockholm Arlanda Airport when the Swedish retailer Lakritsroten opens in the new Marketplace in December. Everything from beloved liquorice classics to small-batch sweets will be included in the range of products on sale.
This autumn, the first part of the new Marketplace will launch in Terminal 5 at Stockholm Arlanda, and a number of shops and restaurants will open their doors. Then the second phase of the Marketplace will open just in time for Christmas, and Lakritsroten will be there as one of the new businesses that have chosen to set up operations at the airport.
In the commercial strategy for the Marketplace, which is Arlanda’s biggest commercial investment ever, a varied offering and a wide range of prices have been two key aspects. A niche shop that offers liquorice classics as well as small-batch sweets fits in well with this mix.
“There has been an explicit demand for more Nordic, Swedish and local goods at the airport, and a liquorice store has been on our wish list," says Charlotte Ljunggren, Chief Commercial Officer at Swedavia.
In its new shop, Lakritsroten will offer passengers a world full of liquorice and a modern shopping experience with a focus on quality, artisan production and extraordinary service from trained liquorice experts. There will be a wide range of liquorice to suit everyone’s tastes, with over 600 liquorice-related items from more than 70 different brands.
Lakritsroten is Sweden’s largest retailer specialising in liquorice and offers a wide assortment of liquorice for all tastes at its outlets. The range of products includes everything from liquorice classics to small-batch sweets, ingredients for cooking and baking, books and other printed material, drinks, and health and beauty products – all with liquorice as the common denominator.
