Starting on 18 December 2026, EGYPTAIR will launch direct flights between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Cairo. Operating four times a week year-round, the new service offers travellers a convenient way to reach Egypt’s vibrant capital.

Cairo is one of Africa’s largest cities and an ideal starting point for exploring Egypt’s rich history and culture. The city is home to some of the country’s most famous attractions, including the Pyramids of Giza, Saqqara and the scenic Nile Valley. Visitors can also enjoy a wide range of restaurants, shopping opportunities and cultural experiences.

-The launch of EGYPTAIR’s direct service between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Cairo is great news for our travellers. Egypt is a popular destination for leisure travellers, business travellers and those visiting family and friends. The new route makes travel between our countries easier while also providing convenient onward connections to destinations across the Middle East and Africa through EGYPTAIR’s extensive network,” says Aron Backström, Chief Commercial Officer at Swedavia.

In addition to providing easier access to Egypt, the new route also opens up further travel opportunities. Through Cairo, EGYPTAIR offers connections to a wide range of destinations across the Middle East and Africa.

EGYPTAIR will operate flights between Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) and Cairo International Airport (CAI) four times a week, on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The route will be served year-round by an Airbus A321neo with seating for 182 passengers in Business Class and Economy Class.
