Terminal 3 closes on 1 September
On 1 September, the security control in Terminal 3 at Stockholm Arlanda Airport will close. At the same time, construction will begin on a new corridor beyond the security control that will connect Terminal 3 with Terminal 2.

Once the new corridor is completed, the gate area that previously belonged to Terminal 3 will be brought back into operation for air traffic as part of Terminal 2. Until then, Jonair, Populair, and Västflyg flights will depart from Terminal 2.
On 1 September, an expansion of the security control in Terminal 2 will also begin. When the security control in Terminal 3 is decommissioned, additional capacity will be added to the security checkpoint in Terminal 2. The equipment will be the same as that currently used in Terminal 2.
The gate area in the former Terminal 3 is planned to reopen at the end of 2026. The renovation and expansion of the security control in Terminal 2 is expected to be completed in early 2027.
