Passenger statistics for December and full-year 2018

More than 42 million passengers flew to or from one of Swedavia’s ten airports in 2018, representing a minor increase in passenger numbers compared to 2017. The number of international passengers increased with nearly 2 per cent, while the number of domestic passengers decreased with nearly 3 per cent. For December passenger traffic decreased nearly 2 per cent compared the same period last year.
A total of 42,017,000 passengers flew to or from Swedavia’s ten airports in 2018, a minor increase in passenger volume compared to 2017. The total number of international passengers increased 2 per cent to 28,475,000, while the total number of domestic passengers was 13,542,000, a decrease of 3 per cent from 2017.
At both Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Göteborg Landvetter Airport traffic increased with 1 per cent, with a total of 26,847,000 passengers at Arlanda and 6,808,000 passengers at Göteborg Landvetter. At Swedavia’s smaller airports the passenger volume decreased during the period of 2018, except at Luleå Airport, where the total passenger volume was unchanged from previous years.
During December, 2,967,000 passengers flew to or from Swedavia’s ten airports, a decrease of nearly two per cent compared to the same period last year. The international traffic increased with 1 per cent and the domestic traffic decreased with nearly 6 per cent in December 2018 compared to the same period last year.
