This summer, the Latvian carrier airBaltic will launch non-stop service between Göteborg Landvetter and the Latvian capital of Riga. The route was tested as a summer route in 2015 and is now back as a year-round route with six departures a week.

Riga is an exciting destination on its own, but the direct service also enables passengers to transfer smoothly from the airport to airBaltic's 60 destinations elsewhere in the Baltic countries, Scandinavia, Russia, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

"We are pleased that we can offer businesses in the West Götaland region a smooth way to fly non-stop to Riga since we know there are many business travellers on this sought-after route. Riga also has beautiful architecture, a dynamic cultural life and spa experiences, which suit travellers who want to experience an exciting new capital that is near by," says Charlotte Ljunggren, airport director at Göteborg Landvetter Airport.

The aircraft model is a Bombardier Q400, and flying time is 1 hour and 40 minutes.
