Since Arlanda’s new Marketplace  the largest commercial investment in the airport’s history  was completed in spring 2025, the airport has offered a wide range of shopping for all tastes and budgets, with well-known brands showcased alongside newcomers that place a strong focus on Swedish and Scandinavian design.

Among others, several popular Swedish brands  including Newhouse, & Other Stories, Syster P, J.Lindeberg, Fredmans and Chimi  have opened their doors in the Marketplace Add to these GANT, Aera Fashion and Illums Bolighus, all of which took the opportunity to showcase their products during the large fashion show held in Terminal 5 on Friday, in front of passing autumn holiday travellers.

“What an incredible day we've had here at Arlanda together with our retail partners. There were plenty of laughs and appreciative comments from travellers passing by and browsing the wide range of fashion options now available here in Terminal 5 Our vision for the new Marketplace has been to provide a shopping experience with an element of the unexpected. “This means a wide range of shops with a broad price range that meets many different needs and I think we have managed to show that we live up to that based on what we have seen here on the catwalk today,” says Charlotte Ljunggren, Chief Commercial Officer, Swedavia.

About the Marketplace at Stockholm Arlanda Airport
The Marketplace, Stockholm Arlanda’s largest ever investment in shopping, food and drink, began taking shape in the autumn of 2023 in Terminal 5, immediately after the airport’s new, modern security control In spring/summer 2025, the Marketplace was completed, featuring 40 restaurants and shops across an area of approximately 11,000 square metres. The design has a particularly Scandinavian feel and incorporates wood panels with soft shapes to create a pleasant atmosphere. The Marketplace offers something for everyone, with a wide range of options and prices. In autumn 2025, the Marketplace was named “Commercial Space of the Year under 25,000 m²” by the industry organisation NCSC and was recognised for its professional development work and creative business model, which focuses on consumer benefits and competitiveness, creating an attractive, flexible and inviting environment for shopping, dining and services.
