There was continued strong demand for international travel via Swedavia's largest airports, Arlanda and Landvetter. Both Arlanda and Landvetter had stronger international passenger numbers compared to June 2024. For the first time this year, domestic travel showed a positive trend, with particularly strong demand from Swedavia's northern airports Umeå Airport, Luleå Airport and Kiruna Airport. In June, domestic traffic at Göteborg Landvetter Airport also increased, while other airports in southern Sweden continued to show a weaker trend.

Of the 15 new routes launched in June, nine fly from Arlanda and six from Landvetter. United Airlines returned to Arlanda in June with seasonal service to New York City, while Air Canada returned with a route to Toronto, further strengthening connectivity to North America. In addition, six new charter destinations were added from Arlanda, Landvetter, Malmö and Luleå.
