Swedavia has appointed Caroline Ottosson, CEO of public transport companies SL and Waxholmsbolaget and director of the Stockholm County Public Transport Administration, to be the new director of its Facilities and Systems corporate unit and a new member of Swedavia’s Group management team. She will assume the position in August.

Caroline Ottosson currently works as head of the Stockholm County Public Transport Administration, SL, and Waxholmsbolaget.

“Naturally, we are delighted to have recruited Caroline Ottosson to Swedavia. She has extensive experience both as a leader and in working with infrastructure and transport issues. Caroline will be an important addition to the Group management team and to Swedavia’s development. Developing and managing our infrastructure and assets sustainably in the long term is, of course, key to our operations and our future,” says Jonas Abrahamsson, president and CEO of Swedavia.

Caroline Ottosson has many years of experience in a number of management positions primarily in the transport and infrastructure sector, including as deputy director and chief financial officer of the Swedish Transport Administration.

“I am really looking forward to starting at Swedavia in August and meeting all my new colleagues. Air transport is a new industry for me whereas travel, transport and infrastructure are very familiar. Learning new things and applying previous experience seem like a really exciting combination that I hope to use to contribute to Swedavia’s continued development,” says Caroline Ottosson.

Caroline Ottosson succeeds Karl Wistrand, who has served as acting head of the corporate unit.

Facilities and Systems is a new corporate unit at Swedavia established in January 2019 and includes Swedavia Real Estate’s operations as well as IT and Technology.
