Jonas Abrahamsson has been appointed the new president and CEO of Swedavia. Mr Abrahamsson will step down from his position as CEO of E.ON Nordic to assume the new duties.

Swedavia’s Board of Directors today appointed Jonas Abrahamsson, CEO of E.ON Nordic since 2010, to be the company’s new president and CEO. Swedavia operates and develops Sweden’s national basic infrastructure of airports and is entrusted with the task of making Sweden more accessible, nationally and internationally.

“Swedavia is a company that helps enhance our international competitiveness as well as growth and development throughout Sweden. It will be exciting to be part of this. Swedavia is also at the forefront in terms of sustainability issues, and together with its focus on customers and commercial development, there is good potential to strengthen the airport’s capability in an increasingly competitive international market,” says Mr Abrahamsson.

Mr Abrahamsson will assume his duties as president and CEO of Swedavia by January 2017 at the latest. Until then, Karl Wistrand will remain in his position as acting CEO.
