2019-02-11, kl. 16:47

The property developer Landvetter Logistik Center, a joint venture between Bockasjö and Swedavia, will build two new logistics properties at Airport City Göteborg, immediately adjacent to Göteborg Landvetter Airport. The company has also signed a lease on premises with Dawa Däck and Rajapack for a total of 33,000 square metres.

“There is great interest in setting up logistics operations at Airport City Göteborg, as indicated by the agreements that have now been signed with Dawa Däck and Rajapack. The logistics park has an exceptionally good location close to the airport, to Gothenburg and to the major thoroughfares, Route E6 and Route 40, that connect strategic logistics centres such as Gothenburg, Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen. Negotiations are also under way with a number of other tenants,” says Joakim Hedin, CEO of Bockasjö and CEO of Landvetter Logistik Center AB.

One property, for which construction start is in the spring of 2019, will have 23,000 square metres of space. It is fully let on a long-term lease to Dawa Däck, which has decided to combine three of its current warehouses. The building is expected to be completed in the summer of 2020.

Construction will begin shortly on the other property, which has 21,000 square metres of leasable space and will be ready for occupancy on October 1 this year. A lease has been signed with the French company Rajapack, a European leader in packaging. Rajapack will rent about 10,000 square metres of space on a long-term lease and combine its current operations in Sweden and warehouse in Norway in the new property.

“We had a number of alternatives to choose from when we decided to merge our three existing warehouses into one new one. We chose Landvetter Logistik Center as a landlord. It could provide us with competitive terms together with a location that gives us proximity to Gothenburg and the infrastructure found around Göteborg Landvetter Airport,” says Anders Hedin, CEO of Anders Hedin Invest AB, which owns Dawa Däck AB through Klintberg & Way Group AB.

Bockasjö and Swedavia formed the joint venture Landvetter Logistik Center AB in 2015. A plot of land covering around 170,000 square metres, west of the entrance road to Göteborg Landvetter Airport, has been prepared for the construction of three or four new logistics properties with 100,000 square metres of total leasable space. The new logistics park is part of Airport City Göteborg, which will house storage and logistics operations, offices, hotels, retail premises and workspaces and is taking shape immediately adjacent to Göteborg Landvetter Airport.
