Mats Påhlson to step down as CFO at Swedavia at his own request

2022-12-16, kl. 12:02

After eight years at Swedavia, the company’s CFO, Mats Påhlson, has decided to leave Swedavia to pursue a freer role as a consultant. He will leave the position on June 15, 2023. Swedavia has started the process to hire a replacement.

“Mats has been involved in and contributed significantly to Swedavia’s development over a period of years that have been both challenging and important. These are years in which economic and financial decisions and strategies have been critical in creating the right conditions for long-term competitiveness and a healthy company over time. I am grateful for this contribution and the solid foundation that Mats has been involved in and created for the years ahead. Naturally it’s sad that Mats has chosen to leave Swedavia, but at the same time I respect that he now wants to enter another phase in life.”, says Jonas Abrahamsson, Swedavia’s president and CEO.

“Being part of Swedavia’s management, with its multifaceted operations and its wonderful objective of enabling people to meet, has been incredibly stimulating and good for my development. I am convinced that, with the company we are today, and our target vision for 2030, Swedavia continues to have a brilliant future ahead of itself – something that my successor will be involved with, drive and develop. I look forward to the next chapter in my life with interesting consulting assignments and in between more room and time for family, friends and leisure interests.”, says Mats Påhlson, Swedavia’s CFO.

Mats Påhlson will remain in the position during his period of notice. At the same time, Swedavia will continue the work to recruit his successor.
