EasyJet to expand service between London and Östersund
During the 2018/19 winter season, even more skiing Brits will be able to whiz down the slopes in Jämtland and Härjedalen − easyJet is expanding service between London and Åre Östersund Airport from one to two flights a week.
For two years, from December to April, passengers in Åre Östersund have been able to fly non-stop to London with easyJet. The route has also offered Londoners a convenient way to visit Åre and Vemdalen for skiing and other Swedish fjell experiences. People will now be able to fly on Thursdays as well as on Sundays during the 2018/19 winter season. Tickets are now available.
"EasyJet's network is continuously growing, and it is really great that they are now investing in Åre Östersund Airport," said Susanne Norman, then airport director at Åre Östersund Airport, before the route was established in 2016.
