You pay when you book your parking.

How it works

When you reach the parking area you booked, the system reads your car licence plate. A ticket is printed, and when you take the ticket the gate system opens. You do not need to press a button to get a ticket.

If no ticket is printed, you can push the telephone assistance button for help. The service centre will log you in by using your booking number, which was given in the email you received when you booked your parking space.

The web site uses SSL encryption software which is the industry standard. It encrypts all personal information, including credit and debit card numbers as well as your name and address.

Prices when prebooking

Prices for parking vary and are based on demand and availability of spaces. When you prebook, you can also take advantage of attractive offers and are always guaranteed a space.

Parking for people with reduced mobility

Malmö Airport has three parking spaces in front of the terminal building where people with reduced mobility can park free of charge for a maximum of two hours. When you need to park for longer, choose parking area P1 or the multi-storey car park P4.

 

P1

There are six designated parking spaces for people with reduced mobility in the long-term parking area P1, closest to the entrance and exit. These spaces are extra wide in order to make loading and unloading easier. When you park here, you pay the regular price for parking in P1 and your permit for disabled parking must be displayed on your windshield.

P4

In the multi-storey car park there are two designated parking spaces for people with reduced mobility closest to the stairwell/elevator on level 5 and level 7. These spaces are extra wide in order to make loading and unloading easier. When you park here, you pay the regular price for parking in P4 and your permit for disabled parking must be displayed on your windshield.

Parking for electric cars

Charge and park your electric car or plug-in hybrid at the airport

There are four parking spaces in the multi-storey parking facility P4 where you can charge your electric car or plug-in hybrid. The spaces are located at the top of the parking facility, on Level 8.

Two of the parking spaces are equipped with Type 1 plugs, and the other two spaces have regular 220 volt outlets, where you use your own adapter to charge the car.

These parking spaces are not bookable.

Book subscription parking

If you fly frequently, you can lease subscription parking at a favourable price - there is always space reserved for subscription customers.

The multi-storey parking structure is located adjacent to the terminal. You walk straight from the structure into the terminal building.

Take the following steps when you arrive at the airport:

  • Park your car in the parking structure, where the sign says Valet Parking. Staff from Ren Bil take your car and you are given a deposit slip
  • The service you have booked is carried out whilst you are away travelling
  • When you return from your trip, collect your car key from Malmö Airport Visitor Centre and show your deposit slip and identification. You car will be driven up to the terminal. When the Visitor Center is unstaffed, you will receive a text message to your mobile with an access code to the key cabinet at Valet Parking, where you pick up your car key

Reading car licence plates

To make it easier for you to pay and enter/exit the car park, we read your car licence plate both on entry and exit. So it is important that you make sure your licence plate can be read, especially in the winter.

Parking service assistant on hand

Parking service assistants patrol the parking facilities to resolve any problems you may have, such as basic technical problems, provide access to a parking space and offer 24-hour service. Talk to them or contact customer service if you need assistance.

Camera surveillance and staff patrolling the car parks

It is safe to park at Malmö Airport. All car park entrances and exits are monitored by camera, and all parking facilities are patrolled by staff from Swedavia and the airport’s security services contractor.

Parking FAQ

Do I have to book my parking in advance?
No, you can arrive and chose and available space to park in. However campaign prices are only available when booking in advance. With a reserved parking space, you are also guaranteed a space in your chosen car park.

How much does it cost to park?
You pay for your parking based on the number of hours or 24-hour periods you park. There are also offers with attractive prices. 

What is the price for a 24-hour period at P5, P6 and P7 car parks if I stay longer than a week?
The price for each subsequent 24-hour period after a week is SEK 50 per 24-hour period. A week of parking is equal to eight 24-hour periods.

Do you have special parking facilities for people with reduced mobility?
People with reduced mobility can park at the low-cost rate (SEK 20 per hour, SEK 160 per 24-hour period, SEK 525 for one week, additional days at SEK 25 per day) at all of our parking facilities. To get the reduced price, you need to show your parking permit together with your parking slip at the information desk in the check-in hall before you pay.

How far is it from the car parks to the check-in hall?
The closest facilities to the check-in hall are the multi-storey car parks P3 and P4 and outdoor car park P2 - approximately one minute from the check-in hall. The walk from car parks P5, P6 and P7 takes between five and ten minutes with a baggage cart.

Where should I park if I will be away over a weekend?
There are weekend prices for those of you travelling over a weekend.

Is there any risk that the car parks will be full in peak season?
Yes, at the height of summer the pressure on our low-cost facilities is high. We therefore recommend all customers to book in advance to be sure to have a space reserved. If you are unable to book we recommend you to arrive well in advance and note the number of spaces available indicated on the information sign at the entrance to Göteborg Landvetter Airport.

What is the longest amount of time I can park?
You can park for a maximum of 92 days at car parks P5, P6 and P7 without notifying us in advance. Contact parking facilities if you need to park for longer.

How do I pay for my parking?
In all parking areas within barriers you can only pay with a credit/debit card. In the short-term parking areas you can pay with a card or in coins.

Paying with a credit/debit card
If you would like to pay with a credit card, you can register your card at the entrance barrier and then use the same card at the exit barrier. You do not have to keep track of any parking slip – your parking is instead stored on your card. Alternatively, you can press “biljett” (‘ticket’) at the entrance gate and then pay with your card at the exit barrier or at the self-service parking machines in the check-in hall when you return from your journey.

What cards are accepted?
Visa, Mastercard, Eurocard, American Express, Diners Club, Volvo, Statoil, Preem, Shell, Hydro, OK/Q8 and St1. Please note that you need a pin code when you pay with a credit/debit card that has a security chip (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Diners Club). A pin code is not needed for cards without security chips (Volvo, Statoil, Preem, Shell, Hydro, OK/Q8 and S1).

What happens if I lose my parking ticket?
If you lose your parking slip, contact our parking service office by pressing the phone symbol on the self-service payment machines in the check in hall or at the exit barriers. The parking service will then help you with paying on site.

How do I book my parking?
State the date you would like to park, and you are then given parking alternatives that are available. Choose the one that best suits you, and enter your personal details, make payment, and then it is ready. Don’t forget to print out your confirmation.

What is a campaign code/promo code?
Car parks sometimes run campaigns, which mean that specific campaign codes are communicated to you. If you have received a campaign code, you should state it. If you do not have one, then leave that box empty.

How safe are your car parks?
All our car parks have camera surveillance and are patrolled 24 hours a day by both parking services and airport security.

Can I pay for more than one parking space for the same period using the same credit/debit card?
Yes, it is possible to pay for several parking places with the same credit/debit card.

Can I pay for parking with an e-card?
Yes, you can pay with an electronic card.

Why do I have to pay with a credit/debit when booking?
The condition for booking a parking place is that it is paid for at the time of booking. Payment occurs on the web site with a valid credit/debit card: American Express, Diners, Mastercard and Visa.

I have a petrol card that is connected to Visa/Mastercard. Can I use it to pay for a parking booking?
Yes.

What happens if I lose my credit/debit card when I come back?
Press the telephone button at the exit barrier of the car park and you will be helped.

What should I do when I arrive at the car park?
Check that you are at the car park which you have booked. Drive up to the barrier and wait while the system reads and identifies your vehicle's registration number. Once the booking is identified, an entry ticket is automatically produced and the barrier lifts up. Do not press for the ticket since your ticket is produced automatically once the system has identified your registration number. Should something to the contrary happen, press the button with the telephone symbol on it and wait for assistance.

What shall I do when I come back from my trip?
In order to exit, drive up to any of the exit barriers. The booking is identified, parking time checked and the barrier lifts up. If identification does not occur, or that the parking has been for a longer time than booked – put the ticket you received when entering in the machine. The system calculates any additional costs and payment occurs at the exit with a credit/debit card.

What do I do if I have booked a parking place but it shows red at the entrance when I approach?
If you have booked a place, you always have access to the car park. The system has reserved a place for you but the area is shown to be full for other motorists.

What happens if I park in the wrong car park?
You are charged the regular price for the area in which you have parked. Be therefore very careful to check that you are in the correct car park. This information is detailed in the booking confirmation.

What happens if I lose my parking slip?
If you lose your parking slip, contact parking services by pressing the telephone button on the self-service parking machines in the check-in hall or at the exit barrier of the car park.

Do I have to arrive at exactly the same time stated in the booked parking?
No, entry does not have to take place at exactly the stated time, but the booking starts to apply from the chosen time onwards.

What happens if I arrive too early or stay longer than what I have stated on the booking?
Overtime is charged according to regular rate for the car park in question.

If I have booked one week’s parking, but come home before the stated exit time, for example, one day early, is the cost of parking refunded for that day I did not make use of?
No, unutilised parking time is not refunded.

Can I change and/or cancel an already paid for parking place?
Yes, in almost all cases changes and cancellations are possible against a fee of SEK 25. Different regulations for changes and cancellations may occur for specific products. Valid regulations can be found on the product sheet received at the time of booking as well as in your booking confirmation sent by e-mail.

Can I book a parking space for people with reduced mobility?
No, unfortunately not. Parking spaces for people with reduced mobility close by the terminal are limited in numbers and must be available for those arriving here.

If I, with reduced mobility, can park at a regular parking space and would like to book one, how do I receive my discount?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to receive the reduced price connected to your parking permit when you book and pay via the internet.
