Our training courses

Swedavia offer training courses within the fields of TFSF (The Swedish Transport Agency’s statute book) and other sets of rules and regulations which govern airport operations. Broaden your knowledge base by participating in our training courses.

The training courses, which are adapted to suit the needs of a modern-day airport, are carried out effectively and start on different dates depending on the course you are searching for. The courses are led by knowledgeable personnel with experience from working at an airport, and can be adapted to suit your needs. Since Swedavia’s airports are spread out across the whole country, you are always close by a training region.

We currently offers courses within TFSF & regulations, aviation protection & security, fire & rescue services, field services training & AGL as well as ground handling.

TFSF & regulations

We offer training courses within TFSF (The Swedish Transport Agency’s statute book) and other regulations as well as international and national legislation which govern airport operations.
The courses give a basic introduction to the regulations which are necessary to work with airport issues, and give an insight into the practical application of The Swedish Transport Agency’s regulations and general recommendations. The courses are primarily aimed at those of you managing a business, air safety coordinators or have another role which entails work with air safety.
The instructors have broad operational experience within their subject areas. All instructors are employed by Swedavia.

Aviation protection & security

We carry out training courses within the area of aviation protection and security in accordance with the demands of TFSF. Here, security staff is trained, including, security controllers, security guards, security officers and safety officers. All courses are adapted to suit your needs and can be carried out locally.

We also adapt training courses to suit companies within other business areas where high demands are placed on protection and security. In today’s society, there is an increased need for training courses within conflict management and self protection – courses are therefore tailor-made to suit the needs of the company.

The course instructors have broad operational experience within their subject areas and train security staff at airports, nuclear power stations and law courts throughout Sweden. All instructors are employed by Swedavia.

Swedavia is approved by the County Administrative Board to train security officers and guards.

Fire & rescue services

We train airport firemen and officers who are responsible for the rescue services of the country’s airports. Fire protection training with practical work, Systematic fire protection efforts (SBA)  as well as Hot Work  are also included in the course. For airlines, staff are trained in ʽin-flight fire’ conflict management and self protection. Airport Academy also carry out training courses in life saving (LABCDE first aid training) and HLR and AED  (CPR).

The instructors have broad operational experience within their subject areas. All instructors are employed by Swedavia.

Field services training & AGL

In order to satisfy the demands that are placed by, for example, the Swedish Transport Agency and airport customers, we train staff who work within field services and AGL. The instructors have many years’ experience in the areas within which they train, and they are also active in the daily work at the airports ensuring they constantly add to their experience within their area.

Ground handling

We train staff who work with ramp services at the airports in accordance with the demands placed by for example the Swedish Transport Agency and flight and cargo companies (IATA, IACA). The instructors have many years’ experience in the areas within which they train, and they are also active in the daily work at the airports ensuring they constantly add to their experience within their area.
