Passenger volume continues to rise

During November, 3,033,666 people flew to or from one of Swedavia’s ten airports. That is a 7 per cent increase compared to the same month last year.

Both domestic and international traffic at Swedavia’s airports grew in November. A total of 1,264,754 people flew domestically during the month, a 6 per cent increase compared to November 2014. The number of international passengers was up 8 per cent compared to last year, at 1,768,912 in November.

Passenger volume was up at all ten Swedish airports in November, from Malmö in the south to Kiruna in the north. The biggest growth in traffic was at Göteborg Landvetter Airport, where passenger volume rose 15 per cent compared to a year ago. At Ronneby Airport, traffic increased 10 per cent, while at Malmö Airport it was up 9 per cent. At Bromma Stockholm Airport, the increase was 7 per cent, which was also the case at a number of Swedavia’s regional airports. At the group’s biggest airport, Stockholm Arlanda Airport, the number of passengers grew 5 per cent in November to 1,812,916.

So far this year, 34,853,702 people have flown to or from one of Swedavia’s airports. Compared to the period January-November last year, that is a 5 per cent increase.
