Short film festival at Malmö Airport

What would you do if you could stop the clock, turn back time or change the future? From September 15 to 23, passengers can see short films with the theme “Turn back time” at Malmö Airport.

The short film Cats in Riga to be shown at Malmö Airport.

From September 18 to 23, the Nordic Short & Doc Film Festival will screen many of the best Nordic short films in Malmö. But the films will also be shown beyond the city limits, and from September 15 to 23, you will have the opportunity to see some select gems at Malmö Airport as well. Airport director Peter Weinhandl is pleased that the airport is part of the festival.

“This is the first time that a film festival has chosen to show films at Malmö Airport, and it is really delightful that our passengers can take part in the festival here as well,” says Peter Weinhandl, airport director at Malmö Airport. 

Films to be shown at Malmö Airport:

  • Cats in Riga. Documentary, 17 minutes. Director: Jon Bang Carlsen. Latvia, 2014.
  • Roadkill. Live action, 13 minutes. Director: Samir Arabzadeh. Sweden 2014.
  • Guldklockan (The Gold Watch). Live action, 7 min. Director: Joachim Nakagawa Stråning. Sweden, 2014.
  • Cams. Live action, 13 minutes. Director: Carl-Johan Westregård. Sweden, 2014.


The films will be shown at Malmö Airport in an area called Oasen (‘the Oasis’), after the security checkpoint, beyond Espresso House.
