Scandinavia now has a new cargo route from Malmö to Moscow

2014-01-28, kl. 08:24

The new route was launched on January 9 and is served by the airline Atrans in partnership with Russia’s biggest airfreight carrier, AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC).

The market has responded positively to the new route, and the first two departing flights were full. Kales Airline Services AB is the cargo sales agent in the Nordic market.

“Our new customer, AirBridgeCargo Airlines, provides incredibly good service to the Nordic market, with the potential to ship freight on in their global network via Moscow,” says Robert Christensson, chief executive of Kales. The cargo comes from different cities in Denmark, Norway and Sweden to Malmö Airport, which is well situated as a Nordic logistics hub.

The route is served by a Boeing 737-400F and has one departure a week, on Sundays. Capacity is about 15 metric tons per departure.
