New route to Vilnius from Malmö Airport

2014-11-05, kl. 12:48

On April 24 next year, Wizz Air will launch a new service between Vilnius (Lithuania) and Malmö Airport. This will be the airline’s twelfth direct route from Malmö to continental Europe.

Wizz Air continues its substantial investment in Malmö and southern Sweden; on December 21, the airline is launching non-stop service to Cluj-Napoca (Romania), in March 2015 to Poznan (Poland) and on April 24 to Vilnius. Service to Vilnius will operate on Mondays and Fridays from Malmö Airport.

Wizz Air today offers the following destinations from the airport: Belgrade (Serbia), Budapest (Hungary), Bucharest (Romania), Gdansk (Poland), Katowice (Poland), Skopje (Macedonia), Sofia (Bulgaria), Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Warsaw (Poland).

“It is very gratifying that Wizz Air is continuing its expansion at the airport. In October, international traffic increased two per cent compared to October last year, thanks to Wizz Air’s low-fare European routes,” says Peter Weinhandl, airport director at Malmö Airport.

Tickets can now be booked to and from Malmö Airport and Vilnius. The aircraft type serving this route is an Airbus A320.
