Wizz Air is expanding its investment in direct routes between Malmö Airport and Poland. On March 30, Wizz Air will launch service to its fourth Polish destination, Poznan, from Malmö. The number of departures to Katowice is also being increased from three to four a week beginning March 29.

With the new destination of Poznan, Wizz Air offers eleven direct routes from Malmö. Along with the Polish destinations of Gdansk, Katowice, Poznan and Warsaw, the carrier also flies to Belgrade, Budapest, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Skopje, Sofia and Tuzla.

Swedish interest in both business and leisure travel to Poland has increased in recent years. Wizz Air’s expansion from Malmö Airport contributes to this growing trend.

The aircraft type serving the Poznan route is an Airbus A320 with seating for 180 passengers. Tickets are available at, among other places, www.wizzair.com

Wizz Air was formed in September 2003 and has focused mostly on the Central and East European market. Today the carrier has 18 bases in various countries and flies to 102 destinations in 36 countries.
