E.ON and the City of Malmö have collaborated for a number of years to install vehicle-charging posts adjacent to the city’s public transport nodes. The aim is to improve the traffic situation and reduce carbon dioxide emissions from transport in the Malmö region.
Four charging posts for electric and hybrid cars are located in the airport’s P-hus multi-storey parking structure. Visitors and passengers can charge their vehicle at no cost but pay the parking fee in effect for the facility they are parked in. The number of spaces will be expanded as the need for vehicle-charging infrastructure increases in Scania.
Facts about charging posts at Malmö Airport
The electric charge in the charging posts is single-phase 230 volt with a 16-amp fuse. The charging power is between 2.3 and 3.7 kW. The spaces equipped with charging posts are located on Level 8 in the airport’s P-hus multi-storey parking structure.
