Trips to Gran Canaria from Luleå selling well

2015-10-26, kl. 08:28

Winter and dark days are upon us, so many Swedes will take the opportunity to travel to the sun and heat. The charter operator Ving has trips from Luleå to Gran Canaria all winter, and there is no doubt people in northern Sweden are attracted to the Canary Islands, with 7 out of 10 trips now sold to this popular holiday island.

“The Canary Islands have long been a popular destination for Swedes, and people in Luleå are no exception. It is easy to understand why – the weather is lovely year-round, it is a relatively short flight, and there is a lot for every generation to see and do. We have a wide offering of hotels on the island, which means our customers have a great deal to choose from,” says Magdalena Öhrn, director of communications at Ving.

“It is very comfortable flying non-stop from one’s home airport – it is easy and convenient, which is greatly appreciated by people in the region. Now as winter approaches, it is nice to have sun and heat, which the Canary Islands offers. This is very gratifying news,” says Ann-Christin Viklund, airport director at Luleå Airport.

For the summer of 2016, Ving is offering trips to Turkey, Cyprus, Majorca and Rhodes from Luleå.
