Inauguration of the new route Oulu-Luleå-Tromsø

On Monday, January 12, the new route between Oulu, Luleå and Tromsø was inaugurated. It was a packed premiere flight that took off from Luleå Airport to Tromsø.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from trade and industry, the public sector and the tourism industry. The new route was welcomed and ties were formed between the different countries.

Arctic Airlink AB, in collaboration with Nextjet, operates the route with two flights per day on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

“We welcome this route that will connect the three Nordic countries. This route is a positive thing for both the regional economy and the tourism industry,” says Ann-Christin Viklund, airport director at Luleå Airport.

Tarja Karvola, Norway's honorary consul in Oulu, and Robert Forsberg, Arctic Airlink, tied a symbolic link between Finland and Swedenat the inauguration.
