Shopping bag art at Göteborg Landvetter
The designs for Göteborg Landvetter Airport’s shopping bags were created by two Swedish illustrators, who were commissioned to make their own interpretations of Gothenburg and Sweden.
The aim in using the illustrators is to highlight art and culture with a local connection as well as provide people with a little work of art, this bag, from their visit to the airport.
One illustration goes by the name of “Fishing Luck” and was designed by Camilla Engman from Trollhättan, who studied art at Dômen School of Art and HDK in Gothenburg. She has previously worked for clients such as Google, Converse and The New York Times.
The second image, illustrated by Martin Nicolausson, is called “Coast”. Martin has his own special style, in which he mixes digital and analogue techniques. He graduated from Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm and has previously worked for clients such as Absolut Vodka, Topman and The Economist.
