Göteborg Landvetter Airport is western Sweden’s international airport with close to 100 direct routes out to the world. The airport constitutes an important part of western Sweden’s infrastructure when it comes to air transport needs for both passengers and cargo. Göteborg Landvetter Airport is Swedavia’s second largest airport, and in total employs some 3,500 people in a hundred companies at the airport.

    In the summer of 2017, Austrian Airlines will launch non-stop service between Göteborg Landvetter Airport and Vienna three times a week. This will be the Austrian carrier’s fourth Scandinavian route, along with Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo.

    Passengers at Göteborg Landvetter Airport think the quality at the airport has improved considerably in recent years – so much that the airport has now been awarded a prize by the industry trade association Airports Council International (ACI).

    Göteborg Landvetter Airport is now the first airport in the world to offer passengers the opportunity to purchase “print-on-demand” reading material for their trip. At the automated newsstand kiosk, Meganews Magazines, customers choose which periodical to print and pay using their credit card. This is also a climate-smart solution since no unwanted magazines need to be printed or transported.
