Where to find Sweden’s best shoe shop

2015-11-09, kl. 10:10

Göteborg Landvetter Airport’s shoe shop Sneaky Steve å Dojjor was recently honoured with the prize of best shoe shop in Sweden at the Habit fashion gala in Stockholm.

The shop, with only 20 square metres of floor space, just had a facelift including a new interior décor, and was given the award for combining the best of a bricks-and-mortar store and e-retail.

“That’s just fantastic! First putting the last screw in place in our concept and then flying up to receive the prize,” says  Sneaky’s owner and founder, Peter “Måns” Månsson.

Peter thinks that the company’s special offer of shipping shoes purchased at the airport home to customers in the Nordic countries at no cost has been popular. This, combined with a good team of employees that can handle working in a slightly odd setting with inconvenient opening hours, has helped Sneaky Steve’s airport shop win the honour of being best in Sweden.

“In 2016, our aim is to open a shop in Stockholm as well,” Peter notes.
The Stockholm shop Luciano & Friends, Venue Retail Group’s shoe chain Rizzo, Skoakademien in Skövde and Skocentrum/SkoNila in Umeå were also nominated in the category of shoe shop of the year at the Habit gala, but were beaten out by Sneaky Steve å Dojjor.
