Vueling to launch Gothenburg-Barcelona route

2012-10-18, kl. 12:37

Barcelona has been developing as a destination for many years, and interest in the city continues to grow. This spring, people in western Sweden will be able to fly to this Spanish metropolis with the airline Vueling. The first plane will take off from Göteborg Landvetter Airport in April, and there will be three departures a week – Tuesdays Thursdays and Sundays.

“It is really great that we can now offer more options to get to the popular destination of Barcelona,” says Charlotte Ljunggren, airport director at Göteborg Landvetter Airport. “Vueling is an airline that is well established in the Spanish market and has a good network to increase access between Spain and western Sweden.”

Vueling will operate using an A320 that seats 180 passengers. The carrier is based in Barcelona and launched service between Sweden and Spain last summer with its Barcelona-Stockholm route out of Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
