Most new routes in Europe

2015-08-28, kl. 10:21

Göteborg Landvetter Airport is the European airport that has added the most new routes in the past year. Alongside the traffic transferred from Säve Airport, a number of other new links have helped Göteborg Landvetter to top the list of European airports.

The Internet newsletter anna.aero – Airline Network News and Analysis – each year awards its ANNIE prize to airports and airlines that have increased their traffic or offering the most. This year’s ANNIE in the category “Airports with most new routes” goes to Göteborg Landvetter Airport. Number two in that category is Rhodes Airport, which added 21 new routes in one year.

More new routes are expected to be launched in the autumn and winter, including SAS’s service to Paris and Brussels as well as non-stop service to Umeå with Malmö Aviation, which is also starting up a winter route to Åre-Östersund.
