More flights to Luleå from Göteborg Landvetter

2015-02-11, kl. 09:00

In April, SAS will increase the number of departures between Göteborg Landvetter Airport and Luleå Airport to five a week. The increase is in response to the great demand for flights between the two regions.

“SAS’s expanded service to Luleå is good news and eagerly awaited. We know that access between our regions is crucial to business in both places, so the Luleå route has been high on our wish list,” says Charlotte Ljunggren, airport director at Göteborg Landvetter Airport.

SAS launched service between Göteborg Landvetter and Luleå in December 2014. The expanded timetable, with five weekly departures, will go into effect on April 8. Departure days will be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

“Northern Sweden will be closer to Gothenburg, and many people in the business community have been asking for this direct air link. It will develop Gothenburg as a city for meetings and events since it will be easier to get here,” says Lennart Johansson, acting deputy CEO of the Gothenburg Convention Bureau Göteborg & Co.

During the year, SAS will also start up new routes to Bergen, Norway (March), Dublin (April) and Alanya, Turkey (July).

The GOT–-LLA route will be served by a Boeing 737 aircraft type.
