“It is really great that McDonald’s is taking the next step in the development of Airport City. The restaurant plays a key role with its location right at the entrance to the airport area. It will be accessible to everyone heading out on a flight, returning or just passing on the road between the two largest cities in western Sweden,” says Charlotte Ljunggren, airport director at Göteborg Landvetter Airport.
The new restaurant has about 400 square metres of space and seating for 120 people. It will be open around the clock and will therefore also serve McDonald’s new, expanded breakfast assortment, which the company introduced at all of its restaurants that are open for breakfast this past spring. It is also equipped with a two-lane McDrive drive-through service.
“With this restaurant at Airport City, I hope to be able to continue to make a positive contribution to the development of the region. The new restaurant creates some 55 new jobs, and I look forward to working to enable more young people to take their first step in the labour market”, says Björn Huss, the franchisee and owner of McDonald’s Landvetter.
“We look forward with delight to McDonald’s restaurant being a positive force in attracting other exciting businesses to Airport City,” says Jessica Waller, business development manager for the Municipality of Härryda, who cut the ribbon at the inauguration.
On November 22, the inauguration of OKQ8, located next to McDonald’s, will take place.
