Inauguration of Self-Service Bag Drop at Göteborg Landvetter

2015-04-22, kl. 14:46

Check-in will now be even smoother at Göteborg Landvetter Airport. Twelve Self-Service Bag Drop machines are ready for use by passengers flying with SAS and Norwegian, and other airlines hope to be connected to the new system in the near future.

On Tuesday, April 21, representatives of SAS, Menzies, Aviator, Swedavia and Malmö Aviation cut the ribbon in front of the new machines in the check-in hall. Passengers now have the option of checking in their own baggage simply and conveniently.

“This gives us a smoother passenger flow and better use of the infrastructure around the check-in counters,” says Ulrica Lindvall, Process Manager, Ground Handling.

The staffed check-in counters will remain in place alongside the new Self-Service Bag Drop system. The new check-in system is available mainly to make travel easier for passengers.

“This gives our passengers a greater opportunity to manage their own time when they are travelling. Our hope is that this will reduce queues and provide smoother flows at the start of their journey,” says Charlotte Lundgren, airport director at Göteborg Landvetter Airport.
