Using the online service GSOplay, passengers can watch and listen to concerts from the Gothenburg Concert Hall with the National Orchestra of Sweden free of charge.
On December 11, the chairs made their debut at Göteborg Landvetter Airport. They will be set up in both the international and domestic departure halls. These comfortable chairs were specially designed with video screens and audio equipment and allow passengers to choose from among GSOplay's latest concerts on offer.
"With this collaboration, we have an opportunity to reach out both nationally and internationally with our free web service. It is another step in the GSO's journey to become the very best in the world. Our goal is to be one of the world's top ten orchestras by 2020," says Helena Wessman, general manager and artistic director of the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.
"We work in various ways to elevate the experience for passengers at Göteborg Landvetter Airport, not just with a fine offering of shopping, food and beverages but also through other enriching experiences. Art, learning environments, design and enjoyment are part of this. With this collaboration with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, we can also add music in further enhancing the passenger experience," says Charlotte Ljunggren, airport director at Göteborg Landvetter Airport.
The Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra has uploaded a video on YouTube from when they surprised passengers at Göteborg Landvetter on December 11.
