Flygbussarna Airport Coaches introduces “Chip and Go”

2013-01-02, kl. 13:32

Flygbussarna Airport Coaches is the first company to introduce the “Chip and Go” contactless payment system to make boarding faster and easier for passengers. The technology means that passengers do not need to enter their pin code for amounts less than SEK 200.

“We are the first coach company to now introduce a faster payment solution for passengers who choose to pay on board. Easy boarding is important so that passengers experience a smooth trip,” says Eva Tiséus, Flygbussarna’s marketing manager, in a press release.

However, for credit/debit cards requiring extra verification for security, a pin code will still be required. Implementing the Chip and Go function is already in full swing, and all airport coaches will be able to offer the Chip and Go option by January 31, 2013, at the latest.

To making boarding more efficient, Flygbussarna is also installing new automated ticket machines at a number of bus stops*. The machines are solar powered and constitute an important part of  Flygbussarnas’ work to contribute to a better environment.

* In Gothenburg, the new automated ticket machine will be located on Korsvägen.
