Disney landing its Planes play area at Göteborg Landvetter

2013-09-24, kl. 14:33

At Göteborg Landvetter Airport, children will have the chance to enjoy an action-packed adventure before their actual trip. The airport, in partnership with Disney and Nintendo, has created a Planes [Flygplan] play area with games and other amusements for children.

“We had a record summer at Göteborg Landvetter with a large number of families with children. The autumn break is approaching, so we are working to expand our offering of play areas and fun things for children. Everyone loves planes, especially children. So the Planes play centre is an excellent fit for the airport,” says Charlotte Ljunggren, airport director at Göteborg Landvetter Airport.

A play area tied in with Disney’s follow-up to its blockbuster Cars is located by Gate 18 in the international departure hall at Göteborg Landvetter Airport. The Planes play centre includes six consoles with aircraft-themed games. The play area will be set up there until November 30.

“It is especially fun that Göteborg Landvetter is inaugurating the play area in conjunction with the film Planes being shown in theatres. Disney’s film is opening throughout Sweden on Friday, September 27,” says Annika Kronander from The Walt Disney Company Nordic.

There are also toys tied in with the film for sale in the airport’s Swedish Gift Shop.
