Finnish sticks (Finska pinnar)

(about 30)
5 dl flour
1 dl sugar
200 g butter
5 chopped almonds

Mix together the flour, sugar and butter, working the mixture into a ball. Divide into six strips, about 30 cm long. Place them close to one another. Brush with beaten egg. Cut the strips – all at once – into lengths of about 5-6 cm. Dip in pearl sugar and chopped almonds. Bake at 225° C for about 12 minutes.
