Flights will initially be up to four times a day. The aim is to increase that number over time and allow passengers to fly to and from these places on Saturdays. Flying time will be about one hour.
Tickets for the new route are already available for sale on Malmö Aviation’s website.
“It is very gratifying for us that Malmö Aviation is planning to launch a new service between Stockholm and Åre/Östersund. A new domestic route shortens the distance and increases our passengers’ access to and from Stockholm, and within Sweden. The new route allows more people to fly domestically in a quick and convenient way,” says Olle Sundin, airport director at Bromma Stockholm Airport.
“We are very happy about Malmö Aviation’s investment in the region. It provides new non-stop service to Bromma, for which there has been great demand, and which serves as a complement to Stockholm Arlanda,” says Susanne Norman, airport director at Åre Östersund Airport.
