In January, some 175,000 people flew to or from Stockholm’s city airport, Bromma Stockholm Airport, an increase of eight per cent compared to the same month in 2013.

The number of passengers travelling domestically increased six per cent to about 155,000, and the number of passengers travelling internationally increased 18 per cent to about 20,000 compared to the same period last year.

“In January, we see an increase in passenger volume for both domestic and international travel, with more passengers choosing to fly to or from the airport,” says Peder Grunditz, airport director at Bromma Stockholm Airport.

“We are in an exciting period as we carry out intensive work to develop Bromma Stockholm, and various improvement projects are simultaneously under way in the area. We are updating our infrastructure and carrying out different improvement measures, the arrival hall was just freshened up in January, and in February we will place the refurbished and expanded security checkpoint in service – all so that Bromma Stockholm will continue to be a smooth, efficient city airport for our passengers,” Mr Grunditz notes.

The number of landings in scheduled operations increased one per cent to about 1,800 in January compared to the same month last year.
