In February, 168,446 passengers flew to or from Bromma Stockholm Airport, a decline of 9.4 per cent compared to the same period in 2012. The number of domestic passengers was down 9.7 per cent while the number of international passengers decreased 7.4 per cent. There were 148,846 domestic passengers and 19,600 international passengers.
In February, there were 1,787 landings in scheduled operations, which is ten per cent fewer than during the same month in 2012.
“The results indicate that it was mainly domestic travel that declined in February. In the same period last year, there was the leap year effect. We also had two more weekdays that did not fall during Sweden’s traditional winter sport break in 2012, so business travellers for obvious reasons gave priority to flights to and from Bromma Stockholm Airport to a greater extent then compared to this year,” says Olle Sundin, airport director at Bromma Stockholm Airport.
