Bromma Stockholm Airport improves situation for passengers who choose to travel by taxi

2014-06-24, kl. 12:57

A gate system leading to the terminal building has now been introduced at Bromma Stockholm Airport. Work has also begun to establish reasonable fare levels for taxi companies that serve the airport. As a result, this ensures an orderly, secure traffic situation for passengers at the airport who choose to travel by taxi.

In order to ensure reasonable taxi fare levels, Arlanda Express recently reached an agreement with taxi companies regulating the highest initial charge/basic fare, price per kilometre and price per hour. Swedavia will now do likewise and will soon sign an agreement with similar conditions for taxi companies that choose to serve Bromma Stockholm Airport. The change enters into force after the summer following the cancellation of existing agreements.

Furthermore, a gate system leading to the terminal building is being introduced over the next few weeks to ensure an orderly, secure traffic situation outside the airport. After the system is in place, only taxi companies that have a valid agreement with Swedavia will be allowed into the parking area closest to the airport.

The more stringent requirements increase security for passengers while helping to ensure competition on equal terms between different taxi companies. Taxi companies will also be able to set fares freely within the given framework.
