SAS introduces new routes from Stockholm Arlanda
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) continues to grow at Stockholm Arlanda Airport and is now launching six new routes to European destinations for the summer of 2017. Three of the destinations – Stuttgard, Munich and Krakow – will have year-round service. SAS is also starting up summer service to the Portuguese capital of Lisbon; Shannon, on the west coast of Ireland; and Pristina, the capital of Kosovo.
“We are really pleased that SAS continues to invest in Sweden and Stockholm Arlanda with year-round, seasonal and domestic routes for a number of our airports. This clearly meets the market demand among both business and leisure travellers,” says Elizabeth Axtelius, director of Aviation Business at Swedavia.
Along with the five new routes from Stockholm Arlanda, SAS is also increasing the number of departures on existing routes, both international and domestic. There will be more departures from Stockholm Arlanda to Barcelona, Malaga and Palma. Meanwhile, SAS’s domestic service is also expanding, with more departures from Stockholm to both Göteborg Landvetter and Malmö Airports.
SAS’s summer timetable will go into effect in March 2017.
