In Cologne, one speaks about the most beautiful view over the “Kölner Dom“and over the historic city centre. Airport - Cologne Bonn
Cologne/Bonn airport is 17 km southeast of the city centre. The journey to the city centre takes around 15 minutes by car or S-Bahn. A train connects the city to the airport, departing every twenty minutes from the Hauptbahnhof to the airport (from 4.21 to 24.41 on weekdays). On Saturdays and Sundays, the train runs every half hour and the last train leaves at 23.11.
Public Transport
Cologne has a good transport system with an integrated network covering the area from Bonn to the Ruhr district. ( U- and S Bahn). If you plan to see all the sights, it may be worth buying a Köln WelcomeCard for one day which covers the entire train and bus network (Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg - VRS). It also offers discounts on entry to 70 different sights and reduced prices at some restaurants.
