Trendy brands make Swedish debut

2015-03-03, kl. 10:28

Stockholm Arlanda Airport is building a new, exclusive shopping thoroughfare. Two new shops are now opening with brands that are taking their first step onto the Swedish market. The popular apparel chain Superdry is setting up its first store at Stockholm Arlanda, while the US beauty brand Bath & Body Works is opening its first European outlet at the airport.

The new shopping thoroughfare will be completed this spring, but new shops are already opening their doors and giving passengers a new range of shopping options. Superdry is an exciting, modern brand with clothing that mixes vintage Americana and Japanese-style graphics with British design. The other shop opening its doors is Bath & Body Works, which is one of the largest US retailers in skin care and fragrances. The shop at Stockholm Arlanda is their first venture in Europe.

“Our passengers will have unique shopping experiences when we are the first to present completely new brands to the Swedish market. It is really exciting to welcome both Superdry and Bath & Body Works to Stockholm Arlanda. This also highlights the airport’s role as a meeting place and a market place, with over 20 million visitors a year. The new shopping thoroughfare strengthens our offering and enhances the passenger experience,” says Magnus Ros, director of commercial services at Swedavia.

The new shopping thoroughfare is located in Terminal 5 and will offer many well-known brands. Other shops that have already set up operations there are Victoria's Secret and Michael Kors.
